Summer here in Sacramento is HOT. Sometimes the only sane time to get out for a walk is in the evening! Then the Delta breeze cools us down a bit.

In this piece, I’ve captured the golden heat of July and plants in my neighborhood in warm shades of olive green. The patchwork, with its geometric elements, contains hints of traditional quilting patterns without being a formal block design.

Medium: hand-printed textiles including: ecoprints, rust prints, and bleached cyanotype on upcycled cotton, linen and silk fabrics. Linen/cotton borders are neatly stretched over a sturdy wood and canvas frame.

Size: 18” x 18” x 1.5”

Framing/display: This piece does not need framing. The deep profile, linen-wrapped support frame is sturdy, light weight and sophisticated in appearance. It comes ready to hang with finger-friendly Softstrand coated picture wire and supplied hanging hardware.
