As I walk I scan the sidewalk and little gifts like this maple leaf find their way into my pockets! Maple is another plant that consistently gives up its colors well. Eco-printed on aqua-colored linen (instead of white) makes this piece unusual. The leaf is bordered by coarse white linen and a collage of hand-printed fabrics from my stash. Their shades of teal and brown echo the colors in the leaf.

Medium: Hand-printed textiles including cyanotypes, ecoprints, and rust prints on upcycled natural fabrics. Natural linen/cotton borders. Mounted on archival 300# watercolor paper.

Frame: Framed in white shadowbox frame with glass, 12.75 x 12.75 x 1.125”. Ready to hang. Signed and dated on the back.
