About this piece, Field Notes 12: There’s an abstract landscape hidden in this textile collage — a sunrise, a horizon, a grassy golden hill. Perhaps the sea or a river, and of course of plants. What do you see?

About the Field Notes series: These quilt-inspired “minis” were studies for the collection that I began in 2022. I was able to try out color combinations, stitching techniques, and composition and framing ideas on a small scale. These gems turned out to be some of my favorites in the collection! They’d look beautiful on a wall, in a grouping, or displayed on a shelf.

Medium: Hand-printed textiles including cyanotype, wet cyanotype, ecoprints, and Solarfast prints on upcycled natural fabrics. Natural linen/cotton borders. Mounted on archival 300# watercolor paper.

Size: 8” x 8”

Frame: Framed in white shadowbox frame with glass, 8.75 x 8.75 x 1.125”. Ready to hang. Signed and dated on the back.
