From the northwest side of the Mendocino Headlands Trail you can see this dramatic arch. Wave after blue wave rolls toward the beach. In the distance, cliff tops and dark cypresses are shrouded in coastal fog, and below them dark coves are visible at the base of the cliffs. 

Below watercolor washes and expressive black pencil work, look for some looping lines from a shorthand textbook! They add some interesting marks to the texture of the rock.
