This fresh little piece was sketched looking south across Mendocino Bay to a distant point on the other side. On the far shore you can see deep coves below the rocks. Brilliant sunshine illuminates an expanse of crystal-blue water. Up close, look for people hiking the Headlands Trail.

A collaged nautical chart and tea bag paper are visible below the pencil and watercolor sketch. This piece has one deckled edge on the bottom.
