About this piece, Mend 1: In this lively collage a botanical cyanotype is flanked by strips of rich colors and textures. They include other cyanotypes, ecoprints of leaves, spray painted leaves, a handwritten letter, and rust prints. Many of these are original botanical prints. This piece is full of natural beauty to keep your eye wandering over the surface!

About the Mend series: These collages were studies for Mend. I was able to try out color combinations, cutting and gluing techniques, and composition ideas on a smaller scale. These gems turned out to be some of my favorites in the collection! They’d look beautiful on a wall, in a grouping, or displayed on a shelf.
