About this piece, Mend 2: A deep blue cyanotype of Windflower buds is paired with strips of two botanical wet cyanotypes, rust-printed paper, and handwritten text. Together these five pieces of paper create a complete composition – colorful, simple, intriguing, and elegant.

About the Mend series: These collages were studies for Mend. I was able to try out color combinations, cutting and gluing techniques, and composition ideas on a smaller scale. These gems turned out to be some of my favorites in the collection! They’d look beautiful on a wall, in a grouping, or displayed on a shelf.
