About this piece, Mend 8: Rust and teal are always gorgeous together! This paper quilt features this classic color combination and beautiful botanical images. In color and form, the delicate wet cyanotype compliments the botanical contact print of the eucalyptus leaves. Strips of rust printed paper, an vintage map, and a hand-written letter finish the piece.

About the Mend series: These collages were studies for Mend. I was able to try out color combinations, cutting and gluing techniques, and composition ideas on a smaller scale. These gems turned out to be some of my favorites in the collection! They’d look beautiful on a wall, in a grouping, or displayed on a shelf.
