The summer solstice is the longest day of the year – what images does that evoke? Summer sunshine, warm evenings, sprinklers and wading pools, and of course abundant, green growth. I’m celebrating all of that and more in this collection.
The bold graphic pattern of the new growth of this “alley plant” caught my attention on a walk. It was captured by the sun in rich shades of teal and blue over a carmel-colored base print.
This print is a wet cyanotype double exposure with turmeric.
